Hey there! I’m Saumya — born and raised all over India as an army kid. I moved a lot growing up, which meant new schools, new friends, and a pretty adventurous childhood… but always far away from the ocean. For as long as I can remember, living by the sea felt like a dream — something wild, free, and just out of reach.

In 2019, I found surfing… or maybe surfing found me. The first time I stood on a board, something just clicked. It felt liberating — like I’d finally discovered a part of myself I didn’t know was missing. That feeling of calm and freedom became addictive in the best way possible.

I moved to Mulki to train and spend more time in the water at Mantra Surf Club, and honestly, I’ve never looked back since. Surfing took me places I’d only dreamed of — from the warm coasts of India to waves across Europe, the US, Indonesia, and beyond.

To me, surfing isn’t just a sport or even a lifestyle — it’s my grounding force, my joy, my soul food. Balancing a full-time tech job with chasing waves hasn’t always been easy, but it’s been worth every bit of the chaos. Right now, I’m living in Las Palmas, trying to make the most of this beautiful surf life and everything that comes with it.
